The 4-year BCA program under Mahatma Gandhi University is designed to help students truly grow in the field of computing. Across eight semesters, students learn everything from programming and web development to databases, networking, cybersecurity, and real-world project work. The program also offers flexible exit options after 1, 2, or 3 years, or students can continue to earn a BCA Honours or BCA Honours with Research degree. Along the way, students build strong practical and professional skills through teamwork, presentations, and internships that prepare them for real industry roles. This updated 4-year structure aligns with global standards and opens up excellent opportunities for both employment in the IT sector and higher studies in India or abroad. The program has an intake of 40 students per year, with a total capacity of 160 students across four years. It also maintains a strong teacher-student ratio of 1:20, ensuring personalized attention and better academic support for each student. Candidates shall be required to have passed the Plus Two/equivalent examination with Computer Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Accountancy/Informatics Practices as one of the optional subjects.
